Sightseeing
There is a lot to see and experience in Ghana, when it comes to meeting people and seeing new places. During the workshop there will be several organised escapades. Some of these are:
*A visit to the old forts in Cape Coast and Elmina.
*A trip to Kakum Nature Park, a natural resevate in the rainforest, where you can among other things enjoy a canopy-walk on hanging bridges from one three to another -50 meters over the ground.
*A visit to Northern Ghana. Life in the north contrasts greatly to the lifestyle in the big Southern cities. People live in round mud/clay huts and sustain themselves by farming. There will be a visit to the village of Zaleringu where Abu grew up.

Climate
Ghana has a tropical climate and there are clear wet and dry seasons. During the dry season the average temperature in the south is 33 degrees celcius. During the raining season the temperature averages 25 degrees during the day and 20 degrees at night. Even during the raining season in July it doesn't rain often, perhaps a couple of hours once a week, or ever 14th day. July is a good time to travel there without enduring the intense heat.
